The Ardennes Valley Motorcycle Tour in France is a stones throw away from Britain, yet it offers impressive riding roads with fabulous scenery.

For a quick break with shorter miles this is an ideal tour for new riders, pillions and seasoned riders alike

The tour is based entirely in one hotel for the duration. Each day the tour leader will head out and lead the group on some magnificent rides.

Some through rolling hills and forests, alongside very beautiful rivers and streams. A medium paced tour suitable for any confident rider.

If you prefer you can head out on your own or take a day off in the hotel to relax, ideal for pillions who want to combine a riding tour with some relaxing down time.

On route, there are some wonderful sights to see, such as the Abbaye Notre Dame monastery that makes local beer, the Grottes de Hotton, a cave carved by underwater rivers and Le Roche-En-Ardennes, a beautiful town in the heart of the Ardennes, which is just stunning.

All making this Ardennes Valley motorcycle tour a really wonderful experience

DAY 1 - Calais to Ardennes

On our first day, we meet at the Eurotunnel departure terminal. From here we will guide you through into France and to our 3* or 4* hotel for the next 4 nights on the Belgium/French border

On arrival in France we will depart the train & then take a brief stop for a briefing to discuss the drop-off system, keeping together as a team, break stops, lunch and so on, before heading through France & into the Ardennes Valley.

DAY 2 - Ardennes Valley

Staying in the same hotel each evening for the duration of the tour means we can leave our kit and panniers behind and ride without the burden of all our luggage.
Today we will take a ride out to explore some of the more scenic routes in the Ardennes. There are some lovely flowing bends on offer today, beautiful riverside roads and a brief stop off at the Abbaye Notre Dame near Villers-devant-Orval, a monastery famed for its Orval Trappist beer! The brewery is normally closed to visitors, but you can buy the monastery’s produce at the shop (shop admission is free). We return to the hotel in the afternoon and meet up later for dinner as a group

DAY 3 - Grottes De Hotton

We continue today with some more beautiful roads taking us through the scenic Semois Valley and Rochehaut (where the views are best seen) in the Ardennes region and onto a cave for our scenic stop of the day. Built from golden sandstone, Grottes de Hotton has a fascinating assortment of stalagmites. The highlight of a visit is descending into a former siphon and emerging into a 37m-high chasm (admission £7). Being as you’ll be wandering around in a cave, you won’t get too warm keeping your gear on.
