CORSICA MOTORCYCLE TOUR
Corsica Motorcycle Tour, travelling through France along the Route Napoleon we head for the coast and sail to Corsica to explore this delightful island and then finish off with a ride through Italy
Corsica, a mountainous Mediterranean island, presents a mix of stylish coastal towns, dense forest and craggy peaks (Monte Cinto is the highest). Nearly half the island falls within a park whose hiking trails include the challenging GR 20. Its beaches range from busy Pietracorbara to remote Saleccia and Rondinara. It’s been part of France since 1768, but retains a distinct Italian culture.
QUICK OVERVIEW
We begin the journey through France with our first leg of the tour passing through the Vosges Mountains, a beautiful area of mountainous forest, with many hairpins, twists and turns and of course, some awesome scenery. From here we head South alongside Lake Annecy and follow a section of the Route Napoleon, with some stunning views and spectacular roads thrown in for good measure.
Once at the coast, we catch a ferry (included in the price) overnight to Corsica and spend several days on the island riding some wonderful scenic roads with plenty of twists and turns. We take a rest day in Corsica giving you a chance to explore the area or participate in some water sports, such as jet skiing etc.
After several days of exploring the beautiful island of Corsica we head for Italy on the short ferry ride and stay in Pisa for the night with an opportunity to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. From there we head back home through the Italian mountains for some more treats and surprises and view the impressive landscapes of the Dolomite and Tyrol regions of Italy. A pure delight and a real eye opener.

From the Vosges Mountains we head southwest through Parc Jura Vaudois onto Lake Annecy, one of the most beautiful locations in France situated on the border west of Switzerland. Lake Annecy is a peri alpine lake in Haute-Savoie in France. It is the third largest lake in France, after the Lac du Bourget and Lac de Grand-Lieu. Stunningly picturesque, we stay the evening near to the lake giving you time to explore and capture some pictures for your memories
DAY 4 - COMBE LAVAL
We head through a couple of mountainous parks today, the first; Massif des Bauges and Chartreuse, as we head for what is likely to be your first breath taking ride of the tour. Combe Laval. Frequently recognised as the most magnificent road in the French Alps, this road through Combe Laval was constructed between 1861 and 1898 and originally served for the transportation of timber from the Forêt de Lente to St-Jean-en-Royans (France). With sheer drops amounting to several hundreds of meters it’s not for the fainthearted but even some of our previous clients who were afraid of heights loved it! It is magnificent and no words can describe the sensation one gets from riding this awesome road.
DAY 5 - MOUNTAINS!
Today we leave Grenoble and head for Gap. During the journey further south you’ll encounter some impressive mountain ranges and reach heights of 1400m as we pass through some of the route famously taken by Route Napoleon.
DAY 6 - GORGES DU VERDON
Impressive is an understatement. Gorges Du Verdon is an incredible sight to feast your eyes on. A huge Gorge hundreds of meters deep with a view point, is the highlight of the day. Sit and watch for a while as you take pictures of the hawks flying above and watch below as you can make out small ant like creatures (people) walking around below you. An impressive stop and one that needs a little time to appreciate. From here you head for Toulon where you will catch your ferry for the overnight crossing to Corsica with a cabin included
DAY 7 - CORSICA
DAY 8 - REST DAY
DAY 9 - CORTE
We head up into the mountains through Zonza taking numerous twisty roads with hair pins thrown in along with some spectacular scenery. You head through the center of Corsica over the mountain ranges back to the east coast and then back into the mountains to make our way to Corte in the center of Corsica where you will spend the night and enjoy a day off tomorrow to explore this beautiful town, which, was once the capital of Corsica. Rest or take a ride out, or participate in one of the many activities available locally, such as horse riding, river ride, skydiving etc.
DAY 10 - CALANCHES DE PIANA
You head west and follow the coastal road south-west of Porto towards Piana to discover an almost surreal world of weather-carved pink granite, an other-worldly vista of strangely shaped red figures, often plunging dramatically into the turquoise sea below.
Some of the dramatic rocks plunge towards the sea below, others stand poised high above at altitudes up to 300 metres, all are fascinating and beautiful, with the sea providing a perfect backdrop. Being situated to the west of Corsica. You then head east to Biguglia port
