IS THE TOUR SUITABLE FOR PILLIONS?
Yes absolutely. Speed limits are very strict in Norway so it’s a case of, more time enjoying the view than it is trying to get our knees down!
IS THE TOUR SUITABLE FOR NOVICE RIDERS?
For this tour, we recommend riders who book are competent and experienced riders, who have toured long distances before.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
We do include breakfast in the booking price but lunch and evening meals are not. The main reason we do not include evening meals is simply because, more often than not, the portions are small, better suited to coach tours or the elderly and do not fill your tummies up after a long day riding. Having the freedom of choice allows you to select and choose the food you’re in the mood for and according to your budget!
IS NORWAY EXPENSIVE?
Norway can be pricey in some of the more popular towns and cities due to tourist rates. Generally, most things are 25 – 50% more expensive than in the UK and rest of Europe
As a basic guide you would need to budget approximately £80 – £100 per day for fuel, tolls, lunch, evening meals, drinks etc
Expect to pay…
- 3 – 4 Euro for a coffee
- 8 – 9 Euro for a beer
- 30 – 45 Euro for a bottle of wine
- 10 -12 Euro for a burger
- 14 – 16 Euro for a pizza
- 30 – 40 Euros for tolls
- 1.4 – 1.8 Euro per liter for fuel (not much more than the UK!)
IS IT A SAFE COUNTRY?
Yes, one of the safest in Europe. According to the 2013 Global Peace Index, Norway is one of the most peaceful countries in the world, ranking 11th out of 162 countries
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE?
The time of year our tour runs you can expect averages of between 18 – 22c, which makes it a very pleasant environment to ride in
WHAT ACCOMMODATION IS PROVIDED?
The accommodation provided on the tour is a mix of quality hotels, Bed & Breakfast, Apartments & Log/wood cabins
ARE THE POLICE STRICT ON SPEEDING?
Yes, they are. This tour is more about enjoying the incredible scenery than it is racing to the finish line! Fines are hefty and Police patrols are common. Speeding fines can be as high as four figures!
