WALES – 1 night

Our tour takes us to the impressive Snowdonian Mountains, beautiful narrow roads that meander alongside reservoirs and through quaint stone built villages tucked away in the Welsh countryside. After a couple of days blasting through Wales and stopping off frequently for coffee and cake or a castle or two, we head for Cumbria’s Lake District

THE LAKE DISTRICT – 2 nights

The lake district is a superb riding location within the UK, it has stunning lakes, mountains, beautiful villages and a sense of feeling that you’ll be taken back in time.

We will be riding alongside the most famous of the lakes, Windermere, Coniston and Ullswater, whilst enjoying some of the most popular roads to explore in the area, some can even be a little challenging due to their steepness but its all on tarmac and you’ll have your expert guide with you every step of the way!

We stay for two nights in the Lake District, allowing you to leave your luggage in the room and ride a little more freely.

SCOTLAND & THE HIGHLANDS – 8 nights

The third part of the tour takes us over the Scottish border and straight into the Galloway National Park.  From here we head through Loch Lomond and The Trussachs National Park onto Fort William, where we stay for 2 nights and take a day to explore Ben Nevis, do a little shopping and relax in the many cafes available

From here we head over to the Isle of Skye, famous for its cinematic backdrop comprising of craggy mountainous rock and stunning waterfall. Isle of Skye serves as a popular location for dozens of blockbuster films.

We also get the chance to visit Eilean Donan Castle, a spectacular castle accessed by a stone bridge over the estuary

I am fairly new to biking, would this be suitable?

Yes, it is a more relaxed paced tour and there are more scenic stops throughout the day. It is a casual paced ride so as long as you are confident riding in a group, you should be fine

If I don’t want to join the group on a particular day, can I ride alone

Yes of course you can. We provide the routes in gpx format so as long as you’re happy to navigate alone you are more than welcome to head off as a solo rider

Are evening meals included?

No, we prefer, (from experience) to let you choose what you want to eat. Having tried including set menu meals with our tours in the past we found them to be very unsatisfactory in many ways. We didn’t feel we received good value for our clients money or the kind of portions that would be suitable for a growing biker!

Is Scotland expensive?

We find that some things in Scotland are more expensive than in England. Typically hotel accommodation is much more expensive as it is limited on choice and often gets booked up many months in advance. Food and drink however, is relatively similar in price.

Do you offer this tour as a self-guided tour?

Yes, please contact us

What is the weather like?

Typically from May to September the weather is pleasant with temperatures reaching highs in the mid 20’s. However, June can be a frustrating time for many due to the high number of midges.

When is the best time to go?

A great time to go is during May or September, when the crowds are quieter and the weather is still very pleasant. August is very busy with tourists and motorhomes/caravans, which can be a pain for bikers.
