The Black Forest Motorcycle Tour isn’t just for speed demons. Because we use a drop off system, it allows all riders of varying abilities to ride at their own pace. Our Escorted Black Forest Germany Motorcycle Tour is an incredible route for bikers who like roads with ribbon like tarmac and race track style bends. You will experience a unique route created by Guided Motorbike Tours that captivates some of the best roads in the Black Forest

The tour takes us through Belgium and into Luxembourg with a stop off in the Ardennes Valley for lunch on day one. On the second day of the tour we make our way through the Black Forest, soaking up only the best, most scenic roads on offer. In addition to this daily schedule for the next few days we eat cake and drink coffee during the day and scoff some great meals during the evening along with some beers, German beers, or wine, whilst chatting over the fantastic and fun time we’ve had during the days riding, all escorted by one of our professional, fun, friendly and helpful tour guides who’ll also be on hand to offer anyone that requests it, advanced riding skills and tips to get the most out of your experience.

The scenery in the Black Forest is sublime, the roads are like black ribbons flowing through the tall pines that line many of the routes. We will also spend time on the famous B500, also known as the one of the “Best biking road in Europe“, more so because it has some of the most inviting and exciting bends and straights, perfectly matched to give you a sense of being on a race track!

So take the plunge and dive on in, you can book online with a deposit and secure your place on one of the dates. The tour spaces do go fast (really they do!) so if you are keen to join this tour, don’t spend too much time thinking about it or you may regret it.

This is a road / tarmac based tour and does not have any off road riding. The tour is lead by a professional tour guide who will allow riders the flexibility to go on ahead or ride at their own pace if they wish. As long as you are a confident rider you will be okay. Last year we had two new riders and they coped brilliantly

The roads do allow you to pick up the pace due to the very nature of their bends, curves and hairpins. There are sections with tight bends and steep inclines and declines

Please note: It is now illegal to have your speed camera notification function in use when riding in France or Germany. You must turn it off when riding in Germany or France and can reactive it when you have left.

On the first day we meet in Folkestone at the Euro tunnel Terminal (Full details and instructions provided before hand), when we board the Euro tunnel (pre-booked for you by GMT) for France. We will then head through the Ardennes Valley for lunch before heading for the hotel in Luxembourg

Our day ended yesterday riding a section of the B500. Today we head into Switzerland, only crossing the border briefly, to visit the Rhine Falls

The spectacular waterfall is impressive and we take some time to take some photos and learn about the falls. From here we head north back into Germany and through the western side of the forest. There are more tree lined beautiful roads to ride before arriving back at our same hotel

  165 miles
  4.5 hrs

Today is an optional day to have a rest, look around Triberg, grab souvenirs or go for a ride out using our route already planned for you. Or, just jump on the bike and find some great roads to ride, there are many stunning roads all leading to somewhere exciting!

We take a ride out today into the northern areas of the Black Forest, popping in and out of the dense forests and utilising some of the best less common known routes. We head back to the same hotel once again this evening

We have to pack up and check out of our hotel today as we head to Reims in France on a mix of A roads and some Auto-routes

The circuit Reims-Gueux was a Grand Prix motor racing road course, located in Gueux, 7.5 km west of Reims in the Champagne region of north-eastern France, established in 1926 as the second venue of the Grand Prix de la Marne.

Yes you will. You will need a way to guide you along the route and to the hotel

Yes, we provide a map file in GPX format for your sat nav for each day.

The hotels are of good standard. Some hotels may have a spa or swimming pool so bring your bikini!

Where a rider is sharing a room with another rider, some hotels may have rooms that are classed as “doubles“, it is a large king or queen size double bed frame with single mattresses and single bedding (this is very typical of German and Austrian hotels and is sometimes unavoidable)

We can eat at the hotel or the tour guide will know somewhere close by that is recommended. Usually this is good quality food at a very reasonable price, however, customers make their own choices about dining in the evening and do not have to feel obligated joining the group, especially if you prefer some private time

Tour Reviews

Both me and me pal (Dynamic Dave) have Just returned back from the Black Forest trip and were still buzzing, 5 Countries (6 if you include the UK) in 5 days, we feel like extreme bikers now. Ha Ha. Seriously, the trip was fantastic, with great company, unbelievable views with surprisingly, amazing weather all trip. Snips the tour guide could not do enough to help you out, providing great riding tips through his many years experience and going out his way to ensure all riders were catered for regardless of experience. Highly recommended and a great value experience. Hope to meet up again with you all soon on the next one. Cheers to all.

What can I say, other than book the tour you will have a great laugh. The tour guide was superb, offering advanced riding tips to those that wanted/needed it which gave them a much more improved riding experience. What a credit to the industry, well done GMT, I will be back for another tour in 2018

The B500

And yet another fantastic tour the b500 black Forest . I’ve been touring with GMT for 3years now and met some great new friends along the way. I have just come back from the b500 Black Forest tour with the newest tour guide Craig Parsons AK (snips). And what a fantastic and friendly guy he is always there if you need advice on improving your riding. and I have seen it first hand . The first time I ever went on tour with guided motorbike tours I was a little bit nervous as I normally ride with my friends. But meeting Chris Seagal for the first time within the first five minutes I felt that I had been riding alongside him for years and also gave me a few pointers on my riding which I found extremely useful and very grateful for.
Touring with guided motorcycle tours is not like any other tour company that I have heard of and have seen when I have been on holiday touring. If you think that you will be led like ducklings following mother duck you will have a big shock. Don’t get me wrong you will not be pushed out of your comfort zone but your riding skills will change without you even knowing. You can ride at your own pace whether it’s slow or whether you are a more aggressive Rider. And if you are like me I like a bit of speed and more aggressive riding. so i end up going on a head of the group so I can have a bit of fun.( With the ok of the tour guide of course.) I am so looking forward to booking another tour whether it will be this year or definitely next year. And looking forward to making some new friends along the way.
Thanks GMT for yet another fantastic holiday. Chris and Snips

No Frills. Loads of Thrills!

I have just returned from the B500 tour. This was my second tour with GMT.
What a fantastic time I have had! This is an out and out riders tour. There are a few stops for sightseeing, and to take in the views, which are stunning, but the emphasis is on riding. The roads are outstanding. Because of the drop off system, everyone can ride at their own pace.
Snips was our guide, and ensured that everyone had a great time. Because other guests are like minded the conversation regularly returned to motorbikes.
Hotels are adequate, but basic.
If you want to take your bike, and have five days of fantastic fun on it, riding just for the sake of riding, on superb roads, in a beautiful environment, book this tour!

If you love face roads, beer and laughing with like minded people then this is great opportunity. I was apprehensive as I usually ride with my mates in a group but having been on this tour I now realise how much work and effort goes into planning one of these tours. In all the trips I’ve been on with my mates we never experienced roads or fun quite like this. We will be back!

Lee and I have just returned from the B500 5 day tour. This was our second tour with GMT and was yet again fantastic. Glynn was our tour leader and what can I say, he was great, really took care of us all. We had a great group of chaps and Glynn ensured all of our needs were catered for. Some of us wanted to ride progressively and others at a slightly lower pace and Glynn accommodated all of this using the drop off system.
This tour is well worth it, 5 days of amazing riding and really reasonable cost.
We will be booking again with GMT soon.

Just returned home from the B500 Black Forest Tour. What a excellent experience, Had a gas, enjoyed every minute of the 5 days Many thanks to Chris & team. If you are thinking of doing a short tour this is a must, super accommodation, brilliant roads for all class of riders. and meeting up with great people of all ages you can call friends by the end of the tour. I am looking and planning for my next trip with GMT. Thanks again to all involved at GMT.

Just one last note, dont forget to take your own tea bags lol (Baaaaah!)
