Another tour completed with gmt and once again everything was great and well organised, I’ll be back for more in the near future, Vietnam is highly recommended along with this company
Did the 2020 February tour, it was an incredible experienced & very well organized. Bikes were great and accommodation was everything that you would expect: local, clean and comfortable. I would strongly recommend this tour. Thank you Chris, Gnoc and all support for memories that can’t be forgotten!
Just returned from The north Vietnam mountains tour and have huge holiday blues already! What a trip!!! A real eye opener, great culture to immerse yourself in and beautiful scenery too. The off road trails were absolutely fantastic and the guide really put us through our paces. Gnoc was always at hand to give information about the country, culture and riding. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone looking for a bit of adventure
Extremely well organised and such a great way to learn about the country. All the hotels were of a great standard, the food was beautiful and both Ngoc and Quei were fantastic hosts. Ian and Vanessa.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Vietnam adventure earlier this year. North Vietnam is a great place to visit. Vietnam is a great place to visit and a true adventure. The people are friendly and curious. We saw a great mix of city and rural locations and had a variety of riding on tarmac and offroad. We shared a BMW 800 twin (not many of those about). The bikes enable you to get to some amazing places. Our local guides Que and Ngoc were flexible and able accommodate more challenging offroad routes for those who wanted them. Gnoc also helped explain the local culture and recent regional history. Overall this is fantastic tour and experience.
Aboslute must do. On a par with the Croatia tour. This is a demanding tour but worth it. Yes you can do it on a sports bike. The route is well planned and the experience will stay with you for ever. We had extreme conditions for July, 38 degrees in the shade. So be ready for that, get air flow clothing. The food is good and very cheap. About £12 will buy you the best thing on the menu in Romania. Beer is about £1.20 per bottle. The roads and views are amazballs. We saw a bear! I can recomend this tour without a doubt. Total distance for me was 4633 miles , but I live in the south so my new friends ‘up north’ did a long day on the first and last days of the tour. This an adventure, dont worry just do it! I am glad that I did. I paid the extra for a single room, the hotels were all really good. Really good, I loved it! 10/10 Chris.
Just returned from the 2019 Guided Motorbike Tour to Romania. What a brilliant trip it was. 16 days of fantastic riding through the Grossglockner, Transalpina and the Transfagarasan highway to name but a few. Within a couple of days we had become a team, looking out for each other on the road as well as off it.The hotels were all good, clean, with en suites and all the food was of an excellent quality. Thanks go to Chris, our excellant tour guide( just follow the guy with the camera on his helmet!) and my fellow riders who made the trip so memorable. If I could, I would award this trip 10/10.
I will definitely book another trip with Guided Motorbike tours, Morocco anyone?
Just got back from Romania tour and what a tour 16 days of adventure and fun very well organised and planned can’t praise Chris and his team enough my 2nd tour with them will definitely use again once again thanks so much Chris
Well what can I say?Just recovered after being back two weeks and still a smile on my face after this fantastic tour to Morocco.Chris and Fletch were our tour guides which took us through Spain and then Morocco. We experienced some fantastic routes through both countries and it far more than I expected.Ronda valley in Spain to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and a great adventure in Marrakesh on our way to the hotel all things i’ll Never forget.Had some great people on the tour with us don’t know if they could weigh us northerners up but we all had a great time and some great laughs. Thanks a lot and from Dave and gadget!!
Myself and husband have just returned from the north Vietnam tour, myself being the pillion on a Kawasaki Versys 300. We had the most amazing time and loved every single second of the adventure. A massive thank you to Chris, Que and Ngoc our local guide, as well as the great group we travelled with, great camaraderie and great fun. Ngoc brought the tour to life by sharing his life experiences of Vietnam and teaching us about the people and the culture. Everyday was very different from the bustle of Hanoi to the tranquility of the mountain home stays. The trip was well organised, with very good communication before, during and after the trip. There was a good mix of tarmac roads, tracks and off road and a bit more adventurous off roading for those who wanted it. This is a fabulous motorbike company, highly recommended and we are currently planning our next trip to Morocco with Chris and his team.
Superb tour – stunningly beautiful country, awesome mountain trails!
Tour was managed and planned very well; flexibility in the routing gave you the option to go for more dirt trails if you wanted it, or roads if you fancied a rest – kudos to Chris.
I would say Vietnam was a once in a lifetime trip, if I weren’t so keen to book another trip straight away!
If you’re on the fence about booking this, do it! Worth every penny.
On the March 2019 tour with Chris, Gnoc & Quey as leader. Good group to go with & stunning country to see. Delayed flights & other things meant we missed our connection from Bancock to Hanoi but Tie Airways put us up for a night which added to the experience so alls well. Chris did a good job of keeping everyone together just like hearding cats. Off-road was good but some of it was certaily pushing my limits as no doubt some photo evidence will show.
If anyone is thinking about doing it…then do it you’ll be glad you did.
Thanks to Chris n Co as well as the rest of the group for an excellent 2 weeks
Recently returned from the Ho Chi Minh Trail tour.
Met Chris at Heathrow Airport then introduced to Ngoc his Vietnamese business partner when arriving in Hanoi.
Immediately became a millionaire when exchanging money for dongs and then we were off on a fantastic two weeks of seeing and sampling the incredible culture of Vietnam.
Que, Ngocs Right-hand man and mechanic faultlessly lead the group with sensible stints including well planned coffee and lunch breaks.
Ngoc followed up in the back up vehicle with luggage, spares and provisions so was always on hand.
We had various stops at sites of interest and museums etc, giving just the right balance of sightseeing to riding.Ngoc was a gold mine of information during every stop.
Excellent standard of food throughout with a vast array of dishes available on breakfast menus.
It really was a trip to remember for a lifetime made all the more special by Ngoc who could not do enough to help and advise, he really was a fountain of information and enthusiasm.
A big thanks to Chris for setting up the tour, organising flights etc.
To anyone thinking of doing the tour, stop thinking ,just do it.
This was the first fly ride tour I have ever been on and I chose well, Chris Seagal and his Vietnam business partner Ngoc have put a lot of effort into this trip, every day being full on from start to finish, with stop-offs’ at monuments, caves, military sites and tunnel’s Ngoc’s extensive knowledge was incredible, Que our tour leader was faultless riding a pace we were happy with all day and always smiling. I’ve made some new friends, had great company and memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you Guided Motorbike Tour’s for a great trip, see you again soon.
I ve just came back from the Ho Chi Minh trail, wow what a bloody good well organised trip it was. From initially meeting up at the airport to coming home Chris made sure we were all at ease and made sure the trip was about us. I ve never felt as relaxed on a tour. Ngoc, Guided Tours business partner in Vietnam is second to none with his knowledge, information and eagerness to make every day a special one. Chris has got this tour perfected. To anyone considering going to Vietnam I’d say to go with any other company would be a let down after going with guided tours. North trail is being booked up as soon as it’s available for next year.
Vietnam is truly a wonderful friendly safe place to visit and place I already cant wait to go back to. All I would say to anyone considering it is get it booked up as spaces are limited with this company.
Thanks also to everyone else on the tour for making it trip to remember for all the right reasons.
Well where to start this tour was suggested by my brother in law and I’m so glad of that
We did Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh
Chris who runs the tour sorts it all out for you even the flights were arranged by him
Met everyone at airport and glad to say we had a great group. On arriving Ngoc the tour guide then took over and he was amazing we were waited on. He taught us lots of history during the tour too
Our leader at the front of the tour was a young man called Quê and he too was fantastic looking after us alongside Ngoc they just couldn’t do enough for us
This was our first tour and it was the best thing we’ve ever done and will certainly be doing more
Couldn’t recommend guided tours highly enough what a fantastic team
Keep at it Chris, Ngoc and Quê love Sheila and Mark
Vosges and B500 tour Aug 18
I did the Vosges and B500 tour and was impressed with the standard of the organisation and accommodation on the tour. Chris had good local knowledge and tailored each day’s stops to the needs of the group. The corner marker system works well allowing riders to ride at their own pace and we managed to make all our stopping points without loss. On this tour we diverted to miss the B500 to Baden Baden from Triberg due to foul weather. A little disappointing, but good to know that Chris put the safety of the group first rather than press on regardless. I opted to take my chance and share a room, but all rooms were spacious with twin beds so this was never a problem. I would definitely go again.
Just back from August 2018 Vosges and B500 tour. I have been touring Europe for about 15 years and during that time have used a variety of guided tour companies and I can thoroughly recommend Chris and his team. On this particular tour we did not get to do the B500 and (although I have done it before) I was slightly disappointed, There was a storm brewing over Baden Baden and Chris wanted to avoid it and I understand his concern for safety of the group. All in all a very nice, short, 5 day tour visiting a mountain range that was new to me
Just returned home from the B500 Black Forest Tour. What a excellent experience, Had a gas, enjoyed every minute of the 5 days Many thanks to Chris & team. If you are thinking of doing a short tour this is a must, super accommodation, brilliant roads for all class of riders. and meeting up with great people of all ages you can call friends by the end of the tour. I am looking and planning for my next trip with GMT. Thanks again to all involved at GMT.
Just one last note, dont forget to take your own tea bags lol (Baaaaah!)
Vosges Mountains Tour Aug 2018.
Really enjoyed the Vosges mountains Guided tour. It was exactly what was said on the tin. Exceptional scenery to look at. Exceptional roads to ride on. Excellent company of like minded people. Our guide Chris had a laid back approach to precedings with a can do attitude when solving clients needs. All of which added to a great experience that I’m looking forward to repeating as soon as possible.
Wild Atlantic Way (Ireland) Tour
Booking – The booking process was clear and straightforward with an initial deposit payable upon booking the tour with the balance payable close to the departure date.
Communication – Communication was very very clear throughout. Prior to departure, a detailed daily itinerary is provided which takes into account the route; the sites and things to see; your accommodation; and the mileage you will be covering. In addition to this, we were provided with sat-nav files free of charge, along with an extremely comprehensive welcome pack which covered everything from ‘what to pack’, recommended motorcycle gear and lots of other handy information to help a first-time tourer such as myself.
Accommodation – Accommodation was great, ranging from small B&B’s to large hotels. All had excellent facilities, plenty of places to eat and drink and provided appropriately secure areas for the motorcycles. For me, the hotel on the last night stood out and was fantastic!
Tour – The tour itself was extremely well run. The route was clear, and all riders were briefed as to how we would maintain the route without getting lost (accepting people ride at different speeds). The tour routes took in some amazing scenery and ticked off the key places of interest.
I’d have no hesitation in using Guided Motorbike Tours again or recommending them to anyone, whether experienced of a ‘first-timer’, who is looking to book a motorcycle tour.
Got back yesterday from the Irish tour ( 22/6/2018)
Ten out of ten
Thank you Chris for a wonderful trip and an unforgettable experience
Theo & Julie
Lee and I have just returned from the B500 5 day tour. This was our second tour with GMT and was yet again fantastic. Glynn was our tour leader and what can I say, he was great, really took care of us all. We had a great group of chaps and Glynn ensured all of our needs were catered for. Some of us wanted to ride progressively and others at a slightly lower pace and Glynn accommodated all of this using the drop off system.
This tour is well worth it, 5 days of amazing riding and really reasonable cost.
We will be booking again with GMT soon.
A really fantastic tour that allows you to see the best that the wild coast of Ireland has to offer. Despite knowing how unpredictable the weather can be we had 5 days of sunshine and warm weather, only one day of light rain.
A must for anyone who has a soft spot for Ireland as the scenery is fantastic, the food is good and the Guinness really does taste very different.
Well organised and a great tour guide made this a very pleasurable experience
Great tour. Good Roads. Loads of twisties. Bit of culture and stuff Great tour for a few days to experience what a bike tour is like.
Nice to use one hotel as base in Luxenbourg.
Thanks Chris. Will be back in contact.
Excellent tour , great roads & plenty of great biking roads!! Already looking at booking again!
Just come back from my first ever tour. Snips took us down to the Vosges and B500. All I can really say is thank you. The whole experience was amazing right from the hotels, Snips our fantastic guide and of course the stunning scenery.
Sadly our run down the B500 was spoilt only by the weather. I guess that means I’ll just have to return and do it again.
An excellent introduction to Europe and touring in a group, the foul weather didn’t bother any of us because we were having so much fun. Very many thanks to Snips for his professionalism, tutoring, pointing (items of interest) and most importantly helping my wife park her bike at the end of each day!! I’m sure we’ll be back for something bigger and bolder. Simon and Linda.
Having recently changed my bike from a Sports to a Cruiser and never ridden or driven abroad I was rather anxious. My concerns were dismissed day 1 thanks to ‘Snips’ proffessionalism and expert guidance. The amount of riding to start with was suitable for a first timer. The progression at the end did take me out of my comfort zone but wow! I did it! Snips gave me hints and tips to improve my riding and as a female rider I did not feel patronised. The accomodation and stops were ideal. The mountain roads, rain, snow, wind and shine, we had it all. Thanks, am now ready for more.
Excellent trip, surpassed all expectations, Vietnam is a lovely country with extremely friendly people.
Everything from booking to holiday end was well organised.
Local tour guides Ngoc and Chi couldn’t do enough for you and were very knowledgeable about the areas and full of detail about the history of the country.
The riding was varied from nice twisty sections to narrow muddy trails.
All accommodation was excellent, including the homestays, the food (and rice wine) reflected the different regions visited but was all excellent.
Last but not least our GMT guide Snips (even though he was on holiday) was always on hand to make sure everyone was looked after.
Definitely recommend this tour, great trip, great group and great riding (bikes well maintained and recent/new models).
